The internet has expanded by leaps and bounds over the last several years and there are now more websites dedicated to motorcycle riding than ever before and that number continues to grow. Of course, some are much better than others in giving you the real information that is of use to you. Here are some of my favorites and why you should add them to your favorites, too.
#1 – Motorcycle.com
Motorcycle.com is an all inclusive website that has pages dedicated to such topics as specs, classifieds, reviews, products, events, and insurance. It also covers every major manufacturer of motorcycles and gives a nice review of that particular builders most popular models and what riders can expect from them. It also breaks down each type of bike to make it easy to find exactly what you are looking for without any wasted clicks. In addition, there is a blog for further advice on what to buy and forums as well. There is even information on financing and incentives on various bikes and manufacturers.
If you are an experienced bike rider and looking for that perfect ride, then the perfect website is openroadjourney.com. Open Road Journey allows riders to find the perfect stretch of road in order to put their bike through the paces. You can search for specific rides by state or you can select rides that will take a specific amount of time. There is also a page dedicated to events helping you find the latest goings on in the motorcycle world and a forum so you can keep in touch with new friends and exchange ideas and tips.
Motorcycleusa.com also offers plenty of news about the latest information regarding both new and older models of bikes on the market. It, too, breaks down the different styles of bike to make it easy for the user to find that section of the website that will interest them the most. There are both motorcycle reviews along with gear reviews and a buyer’s guide and a location map to where those dealers are located.
Once you have the perfect bike, it is time to find the perfect gear. The best website dedicated to gear is www.best-motorcycle-gear.com. This site breaks down the gear into all the various items you may need such as helmets, jackets, gloves, pants, boots and leathers. The gear isn’t limited to what you wear, but also to what you may need for your bike. For example, there are pages dedicated to tires, exhausts, chains, brakes, lights, engines frames and many more items. The various pages give the reader tips on items and which ones might serve their needs in the best way possible.
There are plenty of website dedicated to individual manufacturers, but I recommend those above as they cover all the major bike builders in one easy place where you aren’t constantly surfing through various open tabs. These particular sites will only continue to get better as more changes are made and more information on the world wide web becomes available.
